A bit of an update By Moog and Squirrel at 19:27 on 5 January 2006
Chikinki finished their monster tour of Europe just before Christmas, and it went really well. The tour diary at www.chikinki.de has recently been updated with some photos so you can see what they've been up to. Keep an eye on it - there is still an installment or two to come.

The only other bit of news we've got is that the guys have had to cancel the gigs they'd announced for Germany and Denmark at the end of this month and the beginning of February. More dates should be announced soon, and we'll let you know as soon as we have then.

New gigs By Moog and Squirrel at 14:21 on 12 January 2006
Chikinki have announced a few new gigs. First off is one in Spain:

18th January - Bread and Butter Eurovision, Barcelona

We're not sure how you go about getting tickets for these gig - the set up is a bit strange (it appears to be a fashion trade show) - but we'll add any information we get to the page for the gig. Just click above.

Finally the announcement we - and loads of you - have been waiting for. Yes, it's a UK date! The guys will be playing Club Fandango at the Dublin Castle in London on 28th February. This is a very special night as the band will be showcasing new tracks to press, agents, etc and they need the place to be RAMMED with eager Chikinki fans. So they need as many of you as possible to get yourselves down to this!!!! Details are here

See you there!

Another gig By Moog and Squirrel at 11:17 on 13 January 2006
Hot on the heels of yesterday's news is the announcement of a warm-up show for the London gig. It's at Lennons in Southampton on 27th February.

See you there too!

Email from the band By Moog and Squirrel at 19:41 on 24 January 2006
For those of you who don't get the email from the band here is one they sent out today:

Hello you lovely people!

Happy New Year to you all!

After spending most of last year in Europe we’re coming home and we’re so excited about it that we’ve organised two UK dates at the end of February to celebrate! The first will be on the 27th at Lennons in Southampton with support from the excellent Volume, and the second will be on the 28th at The Dublin Castle in Camden Town, London. These shows will be your first chance to hear some new material, including our new 7” single, which at the moment is scheduled for release at the end of March / beginning of April. As we haven’t seen most of you for a long time we’d love it if you could make it along to one of these shows and help us create a huge party atmosphere!

After these shows we will be heading back to Europe, but only for a short while to make sure they don’t forget us, before coming back to the UK to play some shows to help promote the release of the 7” at the end of March / beginning of April. We’ll let you know dates and further information as soon as we have it, although up to date info can always be found on our forum (www.chikinki.co.uk/forum) as one of our management team is worryingly addicted to the Internet.

A full tour will be arranged for the end of May / beginning of June to support the release of our next proper single and our new album!

In the meantime, to whet your appetite we’ve added some live versions of newer tracks, including tracks from the new single, and previously unreleased tracks to our myspace site for you to listen to. So get yourself over and have a look at www.myspace.com/chikinki.

Cheers m’dears!

Chikinki xx
