Secret gig! By Moog and Squirrel at 18:49 on 10 April 2006
The guys play a secret gig at the Nektar bar on Saturday night. There were loads of bands on (including Ed Harcourt, Magic Numbers and Volume) each playing 20 minutes. The set list is in the gigography.

Email from the band By Moog and Squirrel at 18:51 on 10 April 2006
Another email from the band today. The most important bit in it is that the mailing list has changed server, so if you want to receive emails from Chikinki you need to sign up again on the official site. Do it now!

Helloooo,

Thanks to everyone who came to our London and Southampton shows at the end of February. We had the best time, and we were really pleased to see some old friends and familiar faces! Thanks for the response to the new tunes as well!!

Ok, a couple of pieces of news for you. We have now moved our site to a different server so if you still want to be on our mailing list you will need to re-sign up at the main site www.chikinki.co.uk. Sorry about that, but if you don’t there’s no other way we can get new info directly to you! Go on; go do it now ;-)

Secondly, our new single ‘You Said’ will be out on the 8th May. We’re releasing it on limited edition 7”Vinyl (You Said / Nasty Side) and limited edition CD (You Said (Edit) / Nasty Side / You Said (Album Version)). It should also be available for download, possibly with some exclusive freebies, but we’re working on that now so we’ll let you know in the next few weeks…

Finally, we’ve confirmed a UK tour to support this release. We’ll be calling at the following towns and cities so it’d be great to see you there:

May 2006

3rd: Hull, The Lamp
4th: Newcastle, Digital
5th: Liverpool, Panic @ Barfly
6th: Bristol, The Croft
9th: Brighton, Freebutt
10th: London, Metro
11th: Taunton, Aura
13th: Birmingham, Jug Of Ale
14th: Winchester, Railway Inn

We’re also looking for some peeps to help us out with selling merchandise and promoting these shows so if you’re interested drop an email to areyouwaitingforabus@hotmail.com and we’ll be in touch very soon!

After these shows we’ll be heading back to Europe for a bit, but keep your eyes open for more UK dates and releases in the near future. It’s all very exciting!!!

Take care and lots of love,

Chikinki xx
